The Great American Cleanup

Take part in the nation’s largest community improvement project starting March 1 through May 31, 2008.  Last year 2.8 million volunteers participated nation wide in activities to clean up their communities, among them were 51,000 Georgia residents.

The Great American Cleanup is an annual event started in 1999 by Keep America Beautiful.  Each year Georgians have worked to improve their communities by picking up litter in parks and roadways, planting trees and flowers to beautify public spaces, painting over graffiti, repairing local homes and businesses, and holding recycling drives and workshops.  Actively instill a sense of pride in your beautiful community and join us in 2008 for Georgia’s Great American Cleanup!

There are two major ways that you can get involved with the cleanup:
Join a cleanup project near you. Organize your own project/Report your results.
