Organizing a Christmas Tree Collection Program
For over 25 years Georgians have been recycling their trees and keeping them out of inert landfills because of organizers like YOU. We are home to the largest Christmas tree recycling program in the country! Bring One for the Chipper is a great example of a program that started with a community need that grew to inspire infrastructure to support this need. It is now a sustainable tradition for hundreds of communities statewide.
Every community in Georgia is encouraged to participate in the program by collecting Christmas trees. To participate, you must have a drop off site open to the public between 9am and 4pm on January 7, 2017 (you may extend that time period and collect trees before and/or after if you wish). You are responsible for arranging for a Chipper or other appropriate reuse method. You must also submit a short Report Form in a timely manner after your event.
All promotional items including flyers, logos, and press releases are available below in the Downloadable Program Materials section. As we are unable to ship or mail any materials this year all materials and correspondence will be done online or through email. All registered drop off sites will be posted on Earth911.com for residents to search by zip code for the closest site.
If you have any questions about this program, please contact Meagan Whitehead at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 404-679-1580.
