Beautification

We strive each day to create and maintain green spaces across Georgia that everyone can come together to enjoy. Our affiliates plant trees, pollinator gardens, community orchards, and vegetable beds. We transform vacant lots into pocket parks, partner with local artists and schools to paint murals, and work with local businesses to clean public squares and streets and fill them with items like benches, shrubs, and putted plants. In 2018, we planted 96,544 trees, flowers, and shrubs.

In addition to making our state more attractive to residents and visitors, beautification enhances the overall community experience. It encourages people to become further connected with one another, whether they’re developing friendships at their local sidewalk cafe or working together to maintain their block. All that green space also leads to greater mental well-being. Find out how you can get involved by contacting an affiliate near you and viewing our resources.
